On this page we will post recipes that you can make for your dog with health issues and remedies for stress, etc.
If these recipes help one dog, it will be worth the work to enter the information. We will also be adding some recipes or remedies for those with cats.

Dr. Bob's "Kidney Mix"
(Recipe taken from the book "Natural Pet Cures" by Dr. John Heinerman)
1 c. brown rice or millet
3 c. filtered water
2 raw egg yolks (organic)
1/2 c. cubed, deboned chicken meat (hormone & antibiotic free)
2 T. chopped parsley
2 T. grated asparagus
1 T. sesame oil (unrefined)
Cook rice (or millet) well with 2 1/2 cups water, approxim-
ately 45 minutes. In remaining 1/2 cup of water, cook cubes of chicken (about 5 minutes). Mix chicken and grain with chopped raw vegetables and oil. When cooled, add egg yolks, multivitamin and other supplements to mixture. If your animal's appetite is poor, flavor the stew with plain, organic nonfat yogurt (2 teaspoons for cats and 1 1/2 tablespoons for dogs).
As meal:
Small dogs ( 1-12 lbs.)-1/4-1/2 cup
Medium dogs (15 lbs.-35 lbs.)-1 cup
Large dogs (50 lbs.-85 lbs.)-2 cups
Giant dogs (85+ lbs.)-2-3 1/2 cups
Do you have a dog who is not eating, due to health problems? This will do the trick to get some food into them. Purchase some meat flavored baby food. Most dogs will eat this right up, but if they do not, take a glob on the tip if your index finger and stick it to the roof of your dogs mouth.
He or she will have to swallow it. This is a way to get some
nutrition into your dog pretty easily.

Infection
In attempting to find natural solutions to complex problems that periodically change, it is important to rely on"broad
spectrum treatment" instead of a single therapy approach.
The matter of "mixing up" applies with equal force when utilizing natural antibiotic substances, such as garlic, goldenseal root and Echinacea.
These 3 herbs, better than anything else, are capable of fighting the worst kinds of anaerobic and viral infections that commonly beset dogs and cats. Each of these particular herbs contain different chemical constituents that disarm bacteria and viruses before they can cause further damage to the system of a pet. They are better as a team then when used independently. By layering several botanicals into the system at once of within a 12 hour period every day, a sort of "biochemical chaos" is created among the harmful bacteria or viruses. Their progress is checked, they are denied the means to cause further havoc, and the infection soon ceases.
The "garlic" referred to in this book is mostly noted as the Kyolic aged garlic (liquid) and in one story they used fluid extracts of goldenseal root and Echinacea. The dog had an infected toe and the vet wanted to remove it. She put 15 drops of each liquid extract onto a cotton ball and applied it to the toe. Held the cotton ball there for several minutes and dribbled the mixture onto the toe and placed a clean sock over the foot. She also gave the dog the mixture in some beef broth (for cats you can put it in tuna fish or salmon oil).
Her statement follows: "By the end of the 3rd day the swelling showed evidence of subsiding. The incision was also starting to close up. By the 4th day, the incision was totally closed and the toe was almost its normal size."
She also stated that she gave the dog some vitamin C capsules (600 mg.). Do not overdo vitamin C as it can cause diarrhea if you give too much. I am assuming she treated the dog every day with all these items and did not just do it one day and it cleared up.
Abscesses
I can attest that this remedy works. I ordered the 1M dosage. Browse through the remedies. Many of them tell you what they are used for. Please keep these remedies away from electrical fields such as microwaves. Many of the remedies, you should withhold water and food for a half hour prior to dosage and a half hour after.
NOTE: Remedies should never be touched. For the larger pellets you can take a heavy paper and fold it. Drop one pellet into the fold and use a heavy knife handle to crush the pellet. For smaller pellets drop one into the cap of the remedy bottle. Drop the pellet onto the center of the dog or cats tongue. You can use the folded paper like a funnel to get the remedy onto the center of the tongue. For people, simply drop the pellet from the cap into the mouth and let it dissolve under the tongue.
Doggie Broth
(urinary tract discomforts)
1 medium carrot, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 celery stalk, cut in 1 inch pieces (with leaves)
1/4 c. barley, cooked
10 drops liquid Kyolic aged garlic extract
1 1/2 c. beef broth, boiling
Add everything to a Vita-Mix 5000 container and secure the lid in place. Run the machine for 3 minutes. Empty into the dogs food bowl, but let it cool a little more, if necessary, before serving.
An animal with urinary tract discomforts should be placed on a liquid fast and given no solid foods for several days until the condition shows indications of clearing up.
